Jessica McCain, MD

Jessica Collins McCain, MD

Physician

I’m Dr. Jessica McCain, a native to Fort Pierce and a Family Practice physician. I returned to my hometown and family out of pride and the desire to help my community. The healthcare world is getting more complex at every turn, and it takes a lot of time and effort to keep up with advances in science and public policy. Since the Amendment 2 passed with 71% agreement, resolving that medical marijuana is a viable treatment for many people’s ills, I have been working hard to learn more about this topic for my patients in need. I realized that there are many people who would benefit from this option, and became co-founder of Southern Comfort Marijuana Clinic. I hope that you find what you are looking for, whether it only be for information or access to the medicine through our clinical services.  – JCM

Dr. McCain is a graduate of Florida State University as summa cum laude (with greatest honors) with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and minor in Chemistry. She received her Medical Doctorate degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada with magna cum laude honors. This opportunity allowed her to experience healthcare in a variety of settings including the West Indies, New York, and Miami.  Dr. McCain is board-certified in Family Practice after completing residency at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville. Dr. McCain currently has privileges at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center to serve as her patient’s advocate, previously worked at Whole Family Health Center, and is in the process of opening the next phase of her Southern Comfort Healthcare system, a ‘Direct Primary Care’  style clinic.
