How Much Can You Have?
Smokable cannabis (flower): Up to 2.5 ounces every 35 days. Click here for more information on the rolling limit.
Other products (edibles, tinctures, topicals, etc.): These are based on a 70-day supply limit, which you can get specifics on here.
How to check your amount available
The state of Florida tracks purchases electronically, and you can view your remaining allotment through the Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR). Here’s how you can check it:
First, log in into your OMMU account at https://mmuregistry.flhealth.gov/
Click the “Manage Your Information” drop-down menu option. Then click “Patient Profile.”
Under your profile, click “Show Dispensable Amounts.”
The Calculations Page will open showing information for all routes of administration within your Florida medical marijuana certification.
The “35-Day Smoking Dispensation History” is calculated as the sum of the patient’s total dispensation history over the past 35 days.
“Smoking Amount Eligible to be Dispensed” displays the current amount of Marijuana in a form for Smoking available.
For other delivery methods — like edibles, tinctures, or creams — the state uses 70-day supply limits, and you check this by selecting a route type on your calculations page. This will show the total amount dispensed in the last 70 days, as well as the amount eligible to be dispensed.
“Dispensation History” shows dispensations for the selected route type. Once the “date expires” has passed, the amount(s) dispensed on that date will no longer count towards the 70-Day Medical Marijuana Dispensation History.
Why It Matters
If you attempt to buy more than your remaining allotment, dispensaries (also called Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers, or MMTCs) will not complete the sale. Checking your limit ahead of time helps you plan your purchases and avoid frustration.
Tips for Staying Within Limits
Track your purchases: Even though the registry does it automatically, keeping your own notes can help you manage supply.
Plan refills early: Don’t wait until you’re completely out. Orders take time to renew if you need adjustments.
Contact us: If you find your limits aren’t meeting your medical needs, we may be able to adjust your recommendation within state guidelines. You can request an exception.
Pursuant to section 381.986(4)(f)1., F.S., a qualified physician may request an exception to the daily dose amount for their qualified patient by electronically submitting the “Request for Exception” form in the Registry. Upon receiving the information and documentation required by the form and determining the form is complete, the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) will approve or disapprove the request within 14 calendar days.
Checking your Florida medical marijuana limit is quick and easy through the state’s online registry. By staying on top of your allotment, you can ensure smooth access to your medicine and remain fully compliant with Florida law.
